Our Mission is to assist families who have been displaced by house fires for the first year with basic needs. With community support, working together with other nonprofits, small businesses, and local talent, all striving to uplift each other and bring unity to our communities with positive events.

Our Mission
Choose Joy was founded with the mission of providing assistance to families who have experienced the devastation of fire. We understand that a fire can be a devastating and life-altering experience, and we want to help families cope with the aftermath of such a tragedy. We offer a variety of services to fire victims, including financial assistance, emotional support, and other services to help families get back on their feet.
Our team of volunteers is made up of past clients and others who have experienced the same grief and loss that we have. We are dedicated to helping families in need and paying forward the love and help we have received. We also strive to keep Joyce Anne Morris’ memory alive by utilizing some of her passions, such as helping unsigned and unheard musicians, promoting other non-profit organizations, and engaging with our local community.
Choose Joy is committed to doing our part to help fire victims rebuild their lives. We understand the importance of having a safe and secure home, and we are dedicated to providing support and assistance to those affected by fire. We are deeply committed to helping families in need, and we strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those affected by fire.

With the support of community members, Choose Joy has formed a strong and reliable network, allowing us to advocate in the community, working directly with fire survivors and those in need of a hand up. Some of our events include combining a vendor event to spotlight our local small business owners with local musicians and more.
Choose Joy also raises funds and supports community growth and unity by volunteering at local events such as Chillin in the sticks Delaware & Philly Renaissance fairs , to name a few.
You can find us providing free fireworks safety at local festivals such as Ladybug North and South, Smyrna at Night, and at the TNT Fireworks tent located at the Camden, DE Walmart. We are recognized by FEMA, and provide free fire safety information at all of our events.
You can volunteer with us to satisfy community, school, or court appointed community hours.
